gee, these soldier boys

{He got his beret and was, obviously, pumped about it:)}

{My mom found this picture in a 'Don't ask, don't tell' news article. Haha!}

Alright, alright, alright. I miss my big brother a lot, a lot, a lot. All that oh-I'm-too-cool-to-be-missing-brothers is over and I miss him.

I miss that tall boy with kind of curly hair that would drag me down the halls at school. I'd punch him in the stomach whenever I'd see him there and he wouldn't stick up for me when I was teased in Mythology class.

But, I do miss him walking around in his boxers or his purple spandex he loved.
Now that I think about it... did Breton ever wear pants??

You'd miss him too.

LIPS.

You are probably reading this and thinking, 'who is she wanting to be kissed by?' or, my personal favorite assumption, 'she's 16 now...was Brynnie kissed?!'. Nope, nope, nope. Both these questions can be answered but they are lame- I'm a "sixteen sweetheart" now (as Paco called me). But, I do not want to be kissed and nobody kissed me... for now. {just jokes!}

During my algebra 2 class, I was thinking about my lips. So, naturally, I wrote them all down. {What else are we to do in Algebra 2 class? Listen? No}

I know that my bottom lip sticks out as I write.
I know I purse them as I put on my makeup.
I know I lick them when I sing; squeeze them as I sketch.
They twitch excessively as I get excited (as do my eyebrows- it's humiliating).
They get thin as I smile.
They get plump when I cry.
I get them red in the mornings.
I get loaded, painful zits on them over night.
I have a freckle on them and some boy's going to be like... mmm.... oh my, a freckle.

Lots of kisses, Brynnie :)

"So, Brynn, are you going barefoot on your first date?"

And now I think it's falling into autum

I want to do a lot of things. Can I tell you exactly what they are?

1) I want to cross stitch a picture of a cottage(like the one in the Shaws house).
2) I think I'll paint the water at Afrelle- my name for the park behind LP.
3) Learn how to roller blade- get good enough to be able to skate during the day, even when the people can see me.
4) plant a garden.
5) buy loads more books.

It's getting hard to actually give notes to people. I usually end up just giving them to myself. I never tell my Self stuff lately. My journal's completely clueless and anti-social. But, you know, she kind of enjoys being that way.

I'm living by a quote right now.

We're all excited for fall. Everyone. No one complains about the leaves changing colors. Not a soul groans when they think of the sweaters we can now wear to school. Everyone can move out of their way to step on the crunchy leaves because no one can frown when they hear a crunch. We can eat soup and hear about football whatever's and sit on front porch benches and watch the rain beat down on your roofs and gutters. We can bring blankets to school with an excuse and we'll wear shoes and tights and scarfs and not have to put on deodorant in the mornings and we'll walk to seminary in the foggy dark. And everything's great because you like it that way.

And you think to yourself,
you think this is good, wait until winter.

98 Days 'Til Christmas.

With all my love, Brynnie.

We'd be a crazy team

I love this movie! And I love how she dances when the "hey, Alligator" part comes! Don't you? And I like how amazing they are at these instruments. She doesn't even have to move her fingers when there's a cord change... incredibly talented. :)

I'm Taking My Chances.

School has started- or did it even end?

But I know what has happened. I endured many class periods of sitting uncomfortably in a metal chair, staring at the white walls and freezing the fat parts of my arms off, just thinking to myself, "Where, oh, where, has my summer gone?"

But I've found it out. I've been dead asleep since June 4th and just woke up Tuesday. That is the most practical, realistic theory I could come up with (the others were far too unrealistic and slightly too inappropriate to slap on the face of my blog).

My second thought as I walked into school, "By Jove! My clothes aren't good enough."
My second thought as I walked down the hall to Melville's class, "I bet John's telling him about the rolls."
My second thought as I walked into english honors, "and Lucia Lopez is in here! It's a trek family reunion. We're never sluffing this class, Dani!"
But...
This is going to be a year of taking chances.
Love, your barefooted blogger,
Brynnie

of notebook's and willow trees

Ammon (brother) brought me to realize something... I attach. I like a movie, book, actor, person's clothes, spot on the creek, etc. and so I watch, read, stalk, go, etc. again and again and again. Don't believe me? Well sweety, I watched this movie 8 times in 4 nights. No, I have no intentions to marry Noah. Noah and Allie are too cute together. I'm just marrying the movie, The Notebook.

P.S. I painted a picture of a willow tree while I was camping in... well, in a trailer park. But couldn't a trailer park be slightly romantic?
